“‘One can’t believe impossible things,’ Alice said.

‘I daresay you haven’t had much practice,’ said the Queen. ‘When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.'”

Lewis Carroll
Alice in Wonderland

I love this conversation. Now the Queen can be pretty unlikeable, but she can also be pretty wise.

Here are a couple of “impossible” things that I’ve been thinking about lately, wondering if they might be possible after all:

  • Writing a trilogy.
  • Reaching more readers/making more sales. (Thanks to Bitsy Kemper for making me believe this during my marketing consult at the RMC-SCBWI Fall conference!)
  • Writing a completely different type of book than I’ve written up to this point.

How many impossible things have you believed before breakfast? Or in an entire day for that matter? Write down those impossible things that just might be possible. Celebrate them. Make them happen!
