I want to say a special thank you to all of my teachers over the years. They encouraged me and many of them told me I was a good writer.
Nancy Roach was one. She taught Literature to me in seventh and eighth grade (and maybe spelling in sixth) and told me I was a good writer. In seventh grade I wrote a book report on A Teacup Full of Roses by Sharon B. Mathis. Mrs. Roach asked me if she could share it with the eighth grade class to show them what a good book report looked like. Well, my head was so big I couldn't fit through the door!
Today I'm good friends with Mrs. Roach, who is now Ms. Fehrmann. Only now that I'm a grown up, I get to call her Nancy.
There were other teachers, too...Marietta Brown, Sally McCabe, Sandy Nave (now Sandy Elliott), Miss Ferrell at Newton Junior High (now Newton Middle School), Rahn Anderson at Arapahoe High School and a number of teachers in college.
To all of them, I say muchas gracias!
