How To Write For Children & Young Adults Arapahoe Community College Littleton, CO
Are you working on a picture book or novel for children or young adults or do you have an idea for one? In this workshop, you will evaluate what is currently published, understand picture book and novel structure, analyze existing works, and explore various writing techniques such as “show don’t tell.” If you have something you’re working on, bring it! The majority of this workshop focuses on good writing techniques for both picture books and novels, with some time at the end to discuss how to submit a manuscript for possible publication and other “getting published” topics. Note that this course does not cover self-publishing. For more information, visit Arapahoe Community College Community Education.
