Happy Halloween!

In honor of my favorite holiday, I’m highlighting two books by my fellow wild writers/illustrators (my in-person writing group).

By the Light of the Halloween Moon by Caroline Stutson, illustrated by Kevin Hawkes By the Light of the Halloween Moon is a wonderful book was written by my friend and fellow wild writer, Caroline Stutson, illustrated by the fabulous Kevin Hawkes. Following the fun and rhythmic flow of “The House That Jack Built,” Caroline takes you on a delightful Halloween ride.
In Search of the Perfect Pumpkin by Gloria Evangelista, illustrated by Shawn Shea In Search of the Perfect Pumpkin by Gloria Evangelista not only has a fun adventure about finding the perfect pumpkin, but it also has cool pumpkin facts and a delicious recipe! Wild Illustrator, Shawn Shea, did the “perfect” engaging illustrations. (He also does cool illustrator portraits – see his website).

To finish it off, here’s a pic of my nephew, Oliver, checking out a pumpkin in our pumpkin patch at our second annual Pumpkin Patch Brunch and Pumpkin Picking Party.
